Club Retro Roseville Update July 15, 2010

CLUB RETRO ROSEVILLE UPDATE!!!

Hello everyone.

thank you for all the support and well wishes as we continue to move forward with this relocation!

The loan has been signed, the contractors have been hired and we have begun construction on the NEW VENUE!

OUR NEW LOCATION IS 1529 EUREKA ROAD, ROSEVILLE CA (Next to the California Backyard)

As i said before our scheduled GRAND OPENING is going to be in the middle of September. And let me be the first to say, Club Retro Roseville will be THE premere music venue in Sacramento! The BEST sound, the BEST lights, the BEST Cafe, and as always, the BEST STAFF!

As Retro moves forward with a new building, new look, and new vibe we want you to know that building the local music scene, and NOT extorting local musicians, will always be out MAIN PRIORITY.

As sad as it is to leave the old venue in Orangevale after 7 years of amazing shows we cant help but to be excited over the future of Retro!!!

we will be having our "farewell Orangevale" show on August 21st with a line up that is still in the works, with a special sneak peak at our new facility, and a ton of other surprises that will send us off with a BLAST! ..

I was able to spend a few days here and there to help with the demolition of the new site, and thanks to Suzette Allen i am able to share some images of the DEMO phase of the new venue. click on the link below!

WE ARE RELOCATING May 12, 2010

CLUB RETRO IS NOT CLOSING DOWN

There have been many Rumors spreading around regarding the state and future of Club Retro, let me address this and clear the air.

For the past 7 years Club Retro has opened its doors to Northern California becoming the première all-ages venue in Sacramento. From huge national shows, to all local shows, to benefit shows, to summer festivals, Club Retro has been determined to provide a safe, fun place for bands and their fans, or just people that want to get out of the house and do something. The journey that this venue has gone through has NEVER been an easy one, but through it all we have come out stronger and better than ever.

Club Retro has, and always will be committed to the local music scene, and while things may change our commitment to local music will not.

It has been no secret that late last year the church that hosts Club Retro on its property (Family Christian Center), was told that it was going to be foreclosed upon in the coming year (2010). After exhausting all options to stay, it became obvious that there was only one last path to take, relocation.
Early this year we found a property that would be a great fit for Club Retro as well as the church. And as of this past Sunday the final papers were signed and it is now official… CLUB RETRO IS MOVING!!!
The location is in Roseville, off of Eureka Ave. We will be getting you more information as time progresses, but right now we are looking to have our Grand Opening show in September 2010. This will be a brand new facility, with new lights, a new professional sound system, and a whole new look.
We will be hosting our FINAL SHOW in the old Club Retro building sometime in August. More information on that show will be announced soon.
